New year, new you… The new year is the perfect excuse to experiment with your style and give yourself a revamp. Whether you believe in astrology or not, it sure is fun to style your hair according to what your star sign has in store for you over the next twelve months – after all, it gives you insight into your life and your beauty regime.
According to your sign, you may just refresh your hair color or give yourself a full-on makeover. Whatever you do this year with your hair, make sure it’s authentic to you!
Aries (21st March – 19th April)
Any Aries are going to ace 2020 professionally and personally – you’ll fix and achieve all your goals and you won’t be knocked down by anyone! This is the year to be creative and be bold, make this one count. Taurus (20th April – 20th May)
As a Taurus, you’re independent, hard-working and full of attitude. Though you may face problems in your career in 2020, you’ll face them with a positive outlook, and will work harder than ever to get there. With that in mind, you need a hairstyle that is full of attitude too – the blunt bob has made its comeback and now is a better time than any to rock it. It can take you from desk to dinner, and you can opt for a short cut or a mid-length bob for a tamer option.
Gemini (21st May – 20th June)
In 2020, Geminis will be more careful in who they choose to surround themselves with – people will come and go this year, but you still need to be adventurous. The last year you may have taken a back seat and been content with what you’ve got, but you need to be more daring and more independent.
If you want a fun edge to your hair, a short fringe will do the trick. It’ll allow you to have the comfort of your current hair length, but the texture of a freshly trimmed, extra-short fringe. Catwalk models have embraced the look for years and now it’s your turn!
Cancer (21st June – 22nd July)
This is the year for Cancers to embrace a healthy lifestyle – this can be your diet, but also your hair regime. Going for the chop, and reinventing your haircare routine will be the way forward this year. In particular, embracing your natural hair and avoiding over-using heat styling tools is a healthy tip to getting luscious locks. And you know there is nothing wrong with showing off your natural curls! Add a bit of texturizing spray to give them a bit more oomph, you’ll never go back!
Leo (23rd July – 22nd August)
2020 will bring new challenges to a Leo’s life – it will be a year of creativity, romance and fun. This will be a year to travel, meet new people and finally get round to doing those projects that you’ve kept to the side for months or even years.
In terms of your hair, we love any hairstyle that will highlight your romantic side. A romantic braid adds a bohemian touch to your look and is ultra-feminine. A fishtail braid to the side with hair jewelry will be your go-to hairstyle this year.
Virgo (23rd August – 22nd September)
Virgo is a sign of change, whether that’s a house move, a new job or a new relationship, times are changing. It’s time for a makeover – Virgo is a sign that definitely can be experimental, so why not take the plunge? Daunting though it may seem, a pixie cut can flatter your cheekbones and give you a more angular face shape, plus, it adds an androgynous finish to your look. Add a little bit of cat eye for a retro finish!
Libra (23rd September – 22nd October)
This is the year that Libras need to dedicate time to themselves, to focus on hobbies and personal projects, that have been left on the back burner to privilege your work. This is the year to look after yourself, the year of self-care, the year of freedom.
To top off this year of self-discovery, you need a hair style that will be breaking boundaries and getting you out of your comfort zone – we’re thinking rose gold hair for a playful and feminine look in 2020. You won’t regret it!
Scorpio (23rd October – 21st November)
2020 will be when all your hard work has paid off, people may have seemed to under-appreciate it last year, but it hasn’t gone unnoticed. You are disciplined and patient, so you need a sleek and sophisticated hairstyle to match. Sagittarius (22nd November – 21st December)
